The South Jersey Bass
Club Association presents a number of awards each year to
recognize excellence in the areas of tournament bass fishing
and organization of youth fishing activities.
Nominations for these awards are accepted at the December
and January meetings. The award plaques are presented
at the February meeting.
Following are the awards presented and the past winners:
TOURNAMENT BASS FISHING
EXCELLENCE
Must have been caught by members of an active SJBCA
club. Must be caught in a member's club tournament,
or in an open tournament hosted by a member club or in a
tournament hosted by the SJBCA. Must be caught under
the tournament format that the category specifies.

Lunker of the Year:
Heaviest
bass caught by a fisherman. Beginning in 2018,
separate awards were established for heaviest largemouth
and smallmouth bass.

PARTICIPATION AWARDS
The South Jersey Bass Club Association presents awards to
those individuals who demonstrate their dedication to the
success of the Association and its activities by serving as
an officer and/or volunteering to participate in Association
events. Points are
awarded for each activity. A very nice hooded SJBCA fishing jacket is
presented to individuals who accumulate at least 10
points. Individuals who accumulate 60 points earn a
more prestigious second jacket. All jackets have two
SJBCA logos embroidered on them, as well as the owner's name
& club (or Association office). Individuals who
accumulate 110 points earn a custom made fishing rod with
the owner's name on it. Following are the recipients of

EVENT VOLUNTEER AWARDS
The South Jersey Bass Club Association presents apparel
awards to those individuals who volunteer to work at our
five major events (Fishermen's Flea Market, June Open Buddy
Tournament, South Jersey Youth Outdoor Day, Sportsmen's
Jamboree, Bass Bowl). Working at two events earns an SJBCA hat. Working at
four events earns an SJBCA
shirt.
